The Studio
Golden Flowers is a Lake Tahoe wedding florist and floral design studio serving couples around the Tahoe Basin: Incline Village, Truckee, West Lake, South Lake Tahoe. We specialize in foam-free, seasonally driven wedding florals that feel like they grew where you're getting married.
The studio was founded by Brittany, an agronomist with a master's degree in agricultural science and formal European floral design training. Before opening Golden Flowers, she spent over a decade working in sustainable agriculture across Spain, Mexico, New Zealand, and the US — integrating sustainably grown products into large-scale commercial agriculture. Her largest client was Whole Foods Market, where she worked to connect consumer preferences around color, shape, texture, and flavor with sustainable growing practices at scale.
Brittany approaches your florals the way a grower does: with deep knowledge of what each stem needs, what each season offers, and how to build something that feels genuinely alive rather than simply arranged.
The Farm
Golden Flowers operates its own cut flower farm in the Sierra Nevada foothills. We grow peonies, ranunculus, dahlias, sweet peas, amaranth, celosia, and more.
What doesn't come from our farm is sourced from California growers we know personally. We strive to not use floral foam. We strive to not fly flowers in from across the world. Your Lake Tahoe wedding flowers are as local as it gets.
Our Values
As a Lake Tahoe wedding florists, we bring our values to every wedding.
The values that guide us
excellence - We don't stop until we're proud. Every stem, every installation, every bouquet.
resourcefulness - Foam-free mechanics, unconventional installs, last-minute pivots, we solve problems without panic and figure things out when they need figuring out.
creativity - The best floral design happens when the designer can play. We channel boldness, seasonality, and the specific beauty of where you're getting married into every arrangement.
growth mindset - We consider ourselves lifelong learners. Every wedding teaches us something new about design, about plants, about people.
communication - Your emails and texts matter to us. You'll always know where things stand. No chasing, no guessing.
tranquility - We do the preparation so you don't feel the pressure. Your job on your wedding day is to be present. Ours is everything else.
More about us
We are family owned and operated and consider our employees family too. Our son entering this world prompted our relocation to the Sierra Nevadas, as we wanted to give him the luxury of growing up in a small town with a strong sense of community, surrounded by the beauty of nature
Brittany operates the design studio and farm and holds a master’s degree in agricultural science. Prior to operating Golden and The Farm, Brittany had a corporate career for over ten years as an agronomist who integrated sustainable agricultural products and production techniques into mainstream, big Ag throughout the world in Spain, Mexico, New Zealand and across the US. In that time she was always drawn to the thousands of different varieties and cultivars of fruits and veggies that come in different shapes, sizes and colors. Her love for agriculture shows in the way she farms and the flowers she chooses to grow and utilize for design.
Our business runs with the support of our amazing group of designers who are artists in their own right.
In our free time we can be found enjoying the gift that is life with each other, camping, playing in Calpine and catching a sunset.
