Golden Flowers exists to take that on: to plan for everything that can go wrong with cut flowers, and to make your design feel effortless. Our studio believes that the way flowers are designed are just as important as they way those same flowers are selected and grown, and we design in a way that honors both.

Brittany founded and leads the studio. She is an artist and an agronomist, and she'll tell you the two were never separate: art is a science, and science is an art. Her background runs deep on both sides, with a master's degree in agronomy, more than a decade in sustainable agriculture across Europe, North and South America and New Zealand, and formal European floral design training. As an agronomist, she worked with Whole Foods to bring new fruit and veggies to market, focusing on new varieties that provided novel colors, textures and flavors. As a floral designer she draws upon her experience working with agronomy to embody each flower's uniqueness and ability to contribute to the overall vision.

We're based Incline Village and we design for the couples who marry in Lake Tahoe. The flowers are grown close by, the team is local and seasoned, and the standards don't move.

Cut flowers are delicate. Stems wilt, blooms open early or refuse to, a shipment falls through, the heat turns, something breaks in transit. On an ordinary day that's a nuisance. On a wedding day it's a crisis, unless the people handling it have seen it before and planned for it.

That's the expertise you're selecting. We engineer the sourcing, timing, and mechanics so the predictable problems never reach you, and we have the depth and the calm to solve the unpredictable ones in the moment, while the day keeps moving. The science background helps here too: knowing how a stem takes water, how a structure holds without foam, and how a flower will perform from setup through the last dance.
