Couple walking a tree-lined lane, flowers grown on California land by Golden Flowers

Sustainability pledge

Working toward something better.

The commitments that shape how we design, source, and grow.

Foam-free, plastic-free design

No floral foam, ever. We build with reusable mechanics like chicken wire, wool, and pin frogs instead of single-use plastic that sheds microplastics into the watershed.

Buying local first

We reach for what's grown closest before anything else, starting with our own farm and the California growers we know personally. No flowers flown in from across the world.

Mindful growing practices

Our fields are tended for soil health, biodiversity, and pollinators, a direct extension of Brittany's training in agronomy and soil science, and her understanding of how land and plants actually thrive and serve as part of our ecosystem.

Vase return & reuse

Vessels and vases can come back to us. We clean, reuse, and recirculate what doesn't need to end up in the bin.

Repurposing wedding florals

We're building partnerships to give wedding flowers a second life after the event, going to hospitals, senior care facilities, and community spaces.

Toward electric delivery

We're working toward an all-electric delivery vehicle to lower the carbon footprint of getting your flowers from our farm to your venue.

Low-waste packaging

Digital-first invoicing and proposals, recycled paper for cards and wraps, and no single-use plastic wherever we can help it.

Composting the harvest

Stem trimmings and spent blooms from our farm go back into the soil to feed the next season instead of the landfill.

Giving back to the land

We're committing a share of profits to organizations working to restore California habitat and protect the land this business is rooted in.

Seasonal by default

We design around what's at its peak in California, so flowers travel less, last longer, and are never forced out of season just to fill an order.

This is a living pledge, still growing. The aim is simple: leave the land a little better than we found it.
