Lakefront weddings at Sugar Pine Point
The Hellman-Ehrman Mansion sits on the West Shore at Sugar Pine Point, a historic lakefront estate surrounded by old-growth pine and protected parkland. Ceremonies happen outdoors, on the lawn in front of the mansion and along the water, with the lake and the Sierra crest as the backdrop.
That setting asks for a particular kind of flower. Anything too polished or imported fights the place. We design florals that look like they were gathered from the forest and meadow around you, so the arrangements belong to the landscape rather than sitting on top of it.
Because it's a state park, this is also a leave-no-trace venue, which is exactly how we already work.
Outdoor only
The interior of the historic mansion isn't used for events. Ceremonies and receptions happen on the lawn and lakefront, so florals are designed for open air and natural light.
West Shore
Sugar Pine Point sits among the tallest pines on the lake, quieter and more wooded than the resort venues, with direct water access.
Leave no trace
A state park means everything in, everything out, no foam, no floating debris. Our foam-free, compostable approach was built for exactly this.
Intimate scale
The lakefront ceremony site suits smaller, design-forward weddings where every arrangement is seen up close.
The estate is wrapped in pine, fern, and lakeside meadow. We pull palettes and textures from that, soft whites, sage, warm naturals, foraged greenery, so the flowers read as part of the forest, not flown in to it.
Outdoor lakefront ceremonies get full sun and afternoon wind off the water. We design installations and bouquets to hold up in that exposure and still look effortless in photos at golden hour.
A protected state park can't take floral foam or shed material. Everything we build here is foam-free and compostable, mechanically sound enough to travel in, strike cleanly, and leave the lawn exactly as we found it.
No flowers imported from South America or Europe. Every stem comes from our own farm or the California growers we've worked with for years, a footprint that matches the parkland you're standing in.
