The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe.

Mid-mountain weddings at Northstar

Why this venue matters

Mountain luxury, mid-mountain.

The Ritz-Carlton sits mid-mountain at Northstar, reached by gondola and surrounded by tall Sierra pines. It pairs a polished, four-season resort with a genuine mountain setting, the forest right outside the glass.

Florals here need to meet the venue's level of finish. The interiors are refined and the service is exacting, so the flowers have to feel considered and clean, never an afterthought against that backdrop.

The terrace, the lawn, and the ballroom each read differently. We design for the specific spaces you're using and the season you're in, from a summer ceremony in the pines to a candlelit winter reception.

Mid-mountain

The resort sits mid-mountain at Northstar, reached by gondola and ringed by tall pines. A true mountain setting with full resort service.

Four-season

Weddings run year-round here, from summer terrace ceremonies to winter ballroom receptions. The season shapes the whole design.

Refined

A polished luxury property. Florals have to match that finish, clean lines, considered scale, and nothing left looking improvised.

Forest light

Tall Sierra pines and soft mountain light. The palette pulls from the evergreen, the stone, and the warm interiors.

Design philosophy

How we approach Ritz-Carlton florals.

Match the finish

The Ritz-Carlton sets a high bar for polish. We design florals that hold that standard, clean, intentional, and finished down to the last stem at every table.

Design for the season

A four-season venue means very different weddings. We design around what's at peak, soft and abundant in summer, deep and structural in winter, so the flowers belong to the date.

Bridge inside and out

Ceremonies in the pines, receptions in the ballroom. We carry a cohesive palette and language across both, so the day feels like one designed event rather than two.

California-sourced, always

No flowers flown in from overseas. Every arrangement uses blooms grown in California, from our own farm and the growers we've worked with for years.

Questions about the Ritz-Carlton

What planning at the Ritz-Carlton looks like.

Do you work with the Ritz-Carlton's planning team?
Yes. We coordinate directly with your planner and the venue's events team on timing, load-in, and setup. If you don't have a planner yet, we can recommend coordinators we've worked with successfully at mountain resort venues.
What does a typical Ritz-Carlton wedding budget look like?
Full-service florals here typically range from $14,000–$25,000+, reflecting the scale and finish the venue calls for. That covers consultation through day-of breakdown, ceremony installation, bridal party florals, and reception centerpieces. Every proposal is custom.
Can you design for a winter wedding here?
Absolutely. Winter here is a beautiful brief: evergreen, candlelight, deep tones, and structural arrangements that work with the season instead of pretending it's summer.
How far in advance should I reach out?
Peak summer and fall Saturdays fill 12–18 months ahead, so reach out early when you can. If your date is sooner, reach out anyway and we'll let you know availability.
